Our mission is to bring friends and family together as they all peer in together as the bamboo steamer opens. Every soup dumpling at Shanghai You Garden is handmade to order — thin, delicate skin wrapped around rich, flavorful broth and premium fillings.
Founded in downtown Flushing in 2016, we quickly became the neighborhood's go-to spot for authentic Shanghainese cuisine. By 8 AM every morning, steam is already billowing from our steamers and the bakery counter is stocked with fresh pork moon cakes, red bean puffs, and sweet potato mochi.
In 2018, we opened our second location in Bayside with expanded seating, VIP party rooms, and daily Peking duck service — bringing the same handmade quality to an even larger audience.
Milestones
Flushing Opens
Our original location at 135-33 40th Road opens in the heart of downtown Flushing, serving handmade soup dumplings and Shanghainese dim sum.
Bayside Expansion
Second location opens at 41-07 Bell Blvd, Bayside — featuring VIP rooms, expanded menu, and daily Peking duck.
